To begin a whiteboard/voiceconf/video/desktop sharing session, just click on the appropriate button and the window will be automatically brought up on your own and everyone else's display (as well as any new users who log in). Clicking on the message board will bring up the message board on your display only.
If you click on the desktop sharing button your desktop will be shared to the other users logged on (your desktop will automatically appear on their display without them having to click on the desktop sharing button). When you move your mouse, the other users will also see it move. Note that desktop sharing is view-only - other users cannot interact.
When you save a picture from the whiteboard, it is saved in a custom vector format, so that only the drawing actions are saved. You can save in jpeg or png format by appending .png or .jpg to the filename when you save.
